About Homeopathy
Homeopathy is a system of medicine developed by German physician and chemist, Dr Samuel Hahnemann (1755-1843), based on the principle of “let likes cure likes”. This principle is based on observations by Hippocrates, the Father of Medicine, that substances which produce symptoms in a healthy individual may treat similar symptoms in a sick person. Thus homeopathic treatment stimulates the body’s ability to fight infection and susceptibility to disease.
Homeopathy has a 200-year history of clinical use and is practiced worldwide. Its validity is recognised by the World Health Organisation.
It may be used in supporting people with chronic or acute conditions and in first aid situations.
People with the following conditions respond well to homeopathy:
- insomnia
- headaches and migraines
- chronic fatigue
- digestive problems
- skin conditions
- anxiety
- colds, coughs, fevers etc.
- rheumatic conditions
- menstrual problems
- fertility issues
- weight management and eating disorders
- stress related issues
- recurrent infections
